The Number of Victim is increasing and Only Four States are Free


After SARS and bird influenza or H5N1, the whole word is threatened with swine influenza or H1N1. This deadly type of influenza is said to be the combination of the pig, bird, and human influenza. Until this day, May 16 2009, Mexico stills on the first list of country that has the biggest H1N1 case. The list then followed by United State with about 4,714 cases of people who are infected and become the suspect of this disease. The patients and suspects are spreading in 47 States including the District of Colombia. Among the states, New York still has highest record of H1N1 case.

Five people on United Sate have died because of this disease and the number might be increasing if the medication cannot be found or the pandemic cannot be stopped. Based on the United State government organization that handle this case, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, two of the five people who died recently are patient in Arizona and a man in Texas. This virus infects almost all of the states, only four states are free from the virus they are: Alaska, West Virginia, Mississippi, and Wyoming.

Pregnant women, people who suffer from heart disease, chronic disease, and HIV are people who have bigger risk of this swine flu. For those who are having chemotherapy and children less than 12 years old are also the easy target of this deadly virus. The symptom of this influenza is similar to the regular influenza added with vomiting and diarrhea. With the increasing victim number, it is our duty to make a fortress from the virus by keeping our body vitality.
